In the shade of our Earth Mother

A new public gable end mural in Thamesmead in south east London.

Commissioned by a local Thamesmead environmental group and funded by Groundworks London this mural depicts a vision of Mother Earth in the form of a tree whose shade protects us from the Sun.

“This mural has been a real treat for me. I feel that with this project I have been able to create a design that resonates both with myself and the general public. This year has seen an unprecedented level of disasters caused by climate crisis and the threat from Global Warming is something we all need to take seriously.”
