Imagined as a bumble bee flying down the street this portrait of Brook Street draws on its history and folklore of the street including stories gathered from local residents.

I knew from quite early on that I wanted to portray the character of Brook Street in Chester as though seen through the eyes of a bumble bee. I imagined that the bees erratic flight could zoom in and out of details and perspectives enabling and revealing the stories of the street. Little did I know how many stories and how unique and quirky Brook Street would turn out to be.
