Southampton East Park is the location of this large fishpond mosaic garden. Part of a major redevelopment of the Park by Landscape Design Associates the mosaic garden was designed by artist/printmaker Caroline Ishgar. The design was interpreted by Gary and Rob at Wallscapes, and is a tour de force of mosaic work. The mainly ceramic mosaic floor is sprinkled with vitreous glass to highlight the colour and to give that shimmering water effect. The pond measures 6 metres across and is complemented by mosaic inlaid Portland stone benches.
