Involving schools has always been a key feature of Gary's work. This has ranged from informative talks to involving children in designing their own mural and right through to constructing mosaics.

As well as the art and design aspect of a school mural many other skills come into play: maths, for measuring and scale work; communications, for arriving at a design; research, into the chosen theme; environment, and especially how we can improve our own environment - are just a few examples
