BELOW The bustle of the Seven Dials area of London

Gary designed and painted this mural frieze in 1986. It is 2 foot wide and 64 feet long and contains hundreds of figures. The design weaves the story of Oliver Twist through a slice of life in the London of 1837. A great deal of research was carried out into the social and political history of London at the time with more than a few references to the work of Gustave Doré.
