This MiniBeast floor mosaic was design AND constructed with the help of children from the nursery school at Carpenters Road Primary School in Stratford, East London. The school is right next to the new Olympic 2012 developments.

The nursery pupils produced a series of drawings from their study of minibeasts and from these a design selection was drawn up, these designs, by Gary, using the children's work were then presented to the class for feedback. The chosen design was then constructed using unglazed ceramic and included two construction workshops where the children cut and placed tiles in this 'Opus Palladianum' crazy paving style..
