This mural hoarding represents a new departure for Gary's mural work, but though the technique is new the work has brought together a lot of threads from other work.

The mural was created by printing photographs onto the back of clear perspex panels behind this fabric patterns were painted in the studio. The photos of local life were taken by Gary and children from St. Saviours School in Lewisham. Also along the 230 foot mural are two poems produced by children from Lewisham Bridge School working with poet Nii Ayikwel Parkes. The result is a colourful and dynamic mural reflecting everyday life in Lewisham. The work has received praise from all quarters, including passers by, local residents, the council and the developers.
