The focal point for the Leeds City Council Show Garden at the 2007 RHS Chelsea Flower Show Remains of over a thousand Roman mosaics have been found in England including a number of Medusa mosaics. The head of Medusa was considered a powerful protective amulet in Roman mosaics, and was used to ward off evil and protect the household.
