A series of mosaic features at the new Market Street entrance to the new landmark Celtic Gateway Bridge in Holyhead, officially opened on 19th October 2006 by Andrew Davies AM Welsh Assembly Minister. .

This mosaic set has been made from the finest Venetian Smalti (hand made glass tesserae). The design was drawn up after a consultation period and workshops with local children at the Ucheldre Arts Centre in Holyhead. The workshops looked at the ancient history of the area from which a selection of designs were made.

The final design took as its inspiration the story of local 6th century figures St Cybi and St Seiriol who would meet at a holy well in the centre of the Island. St Cybi would always be walking into the sun there and back and Seiriol always had his back to the sun so they became known as Cybi the Tawny and Seiriol the White.

The new station bridge link is a landmark feature for the area with artworks funded by the Welsh Arts Council.
