You wait all your life to make a mosaic column and then six come along at once... 2007 was a real roller coaster year. The year began brilliantly attending the Orsoni Mosaic Masterclass in Venice, then the Erith mosaic Fish Sculpture was hit by a speeding suicidal car, then the work won one of the prestigious 'Rouse Kent' public art awards. The year also saw two lecture trips to the States, the SAMA conference in Phoenix and teaching a class at the Chicago Mosaic School. The summer saw the drama that is the Chelsea Flower Show but the autumn found me twindling my thumbs!
