This creative mosaic using the Opus Palladianum style was designed by Gary in response to the theme 'Those who where here before'. Created for 'The Point' arts centre in Doncaster the mosaic was inspired by a community poetry workshop led by poet Ian Macmillan. The simple haiku written by Gary evokes the ghosts of the past and the nearby horse racing track as well as reflecting on the nature of life and the passing of time. The mosaic is in the courtyard and echoes the arch window in the door opposite. The mosaic was constructed from vitreous ceramic with vitreous glass lettering. |  | ||
