The London Borough of Waltham Forest commissioned this mosaic as part of their millennium celebrations. The mosaic depicts the heritage of Chingford in North London and is made from vitreous ceramic and glass tesserae. The mosaic was designed by Rob Turner and shows the towns heritage in 12 panels. The panels include fine mosaic portraits of Queen Elizabeth I, T.E Lawrence, Queen Victoria and Winston Churchill, all of whom had associations with the local area. |  | |||
