Although this is a classical theme, taken from a drawing by the French artist Rodin, the treatment of this glass mosaic is completely modern in style.

Measuring 60cm x 60cm this 'Aerolam' panel mosaic is made from Venetian Smalti.Whilst the figure of the Centaur and young man has been made quite classically the background uses large chunks of smalti to create dynamism, flow and texture.
