Measuring 4m x 4m this mosaic was Gary's first mosaic commission. Collaborating with artist Ruth Priestly, Gary and Ruth constructed the mosaic in Gary's fathers attic in 1990.

The mosaic was constructed in vitreous glass and was commissioned to brighten up the pedestrian underpass in Archway (Islington, North London) by the London Borough of Islington.

Unfortunately this mosaic has now been buried along with the rest of the underpass as the local authority switches to pedestrian crossings.

Who knows, maybe in a thousand years?.
