One of Gary's first major commissions in 1987 this series of murals were painted as part of a major refurbishment of the Palace.

Gary worked together with painters; Ruth Priestly; Hillary Leobner; Joanne White; John Beaumont to design and paint the murals for the West Corridor of the Palace. Each panel depicts a different aspect of the Palaces past and the whole project was painted in durable Keim Silicate paints.

Careful research and close co-operation with the architects were key features of the project.
